INVESTIGATIONAL NOTE TAKING & REPORT WRITING (1 day):

This program covers proper protocols on note books, maintaining a note book, how to take court acceptable notes as well as using a note book in a court proceeding to refresh your memory. The report writing portion will cover utilizing your notes, how to organize an investigative report, preparing a Report to Crown Counsel, effective report management procedures and examples of investigational reports.

INVESTIGATIONAL NOTE TAKING & REPORT WRITING (2 day):

This program covers all of the above plus practical exercises where course candidates are given feedback and tips on preparing reports under stress and time lines.

COURT TESTIFYING (1 day):

This course covers when and how to prepare for oral testimony, the testimony process from an investigators view, tactics used by lawyers when cross examining witnesses, how to use a note book or investigative report as an aid to accurate testimony and an opportunity to testify during a mock trial.

INTERVIEWING (1 day): 

focusing on obtaining court acceptable statements, documenting the statement and preparing to testify at court about the statement. Both soft and hard interview approaches will be covered.
